Out with the old and in with the new -
I have had several customers now that purchased the PF1 Pedal Filter box in order to fix issues they were having with their CSR Standard pedals. As well, I have seen quite a few forum posts regarding spiking pedals or pedals that will not provide proper input. So I purchased my own set of CSR Standard pedals to see what was going on. The short of it is that the pedals are still using potentiometers and they sometimes have issues or wear out too quickly. That being said, I do like the pedals quite a bit as they are definitely an upgrade over the original standard pedals.
It turns out that the CSR pedals actually have an easily accessible circuit board located on the bottom which is used to connect the wheel to the pedals. Swapping the old board for the new requires a screwdriver and about 5 minutes of your time.
Here is the new PF1 Bare Bones Pedal Filter that directly replaces the original:
Here is the original board that comes with the pedals:
This filter provides all of the same benefits of the PF1 Filter while being integrated directly into the base of the pedals, no separate box or cable required. PLUS, it's cheaper because of this!
Installation instructions: PF1_BB - Instructions.pdf
Price: $16 - this includes shipping to anywhere in the US, Canada or Mexico (See below for other destinations)
If you are not satisfied, you can return the undamaged board for a full refund.
