Firmware Update Instructions:
Follow these instructions EXACTLY! Failure to do so could render your SFA1 useless and will require that it be returned for a reflash at your cost. Following these instructions exactly will not damage the device in any way. Please do not “play” with the options in the bootloader program.

You need at least Windows XP or higher to proceed. The bootloader program is currently untested in Windows 8, it may or may not work for you.

1. Download the BootLoader program here: Bootloader Right click and select Save As. Be sure to save the file in a location were it can be easily found such as your desktop.

2. Download the firmware from here: Firmware Right click and select Save As. Be sure to save the file in a location were it can be easily found such as your desktop.

3. Launch the BootLoader.exe program that you downloaded in step 1 above.

4. Insert the USB cable into the port labled "USB" on the SFA1.

5. While holding down the "RESET" button on the SFA1, plug the other end of the USB cable into your PC. Once plugged in, release the "RESET" button.

6. The BootLoader program will display a message saying “Device attached” as shown below:

7. Click the “Open Hex File” button and select the firmware file that you downloaded in step 2 above, then click OK.

8. Click the “Program/Verify” button and you should see the following occur within the window:

9. Click the “Reset Device” button in the bootloader program.

10. Close the bootloader program, unplug the adapter from the computer.

11. DONE! It is recommended you recalibrate the shifter to your wheel but this may not be necessary.

Troubleshooting:

If you try to calibrate your shifter on the wheel and you can't get it to work. Please follow the setup instructions you received with your SFA1.
